So on Social Medias (Be it the Twitter in the past, Mastodon or Bluesky) you might have seen me post a few times regarding a Pokémon Masters EX Gamerip OST I have created for myself (and anyone else who wants it).

If you wanna skip my wittering and just want a download jump down here. But I do wanna witter so…

This mostly came from wanting to have a personal collection of the OST for myself because most of the music is either outdated on sites like KHInsider (in fact KHI’s upload is significantly behind), simply does not exist as a download on other sites such as Sitting on Clouds, or is entirely on YouTube (and that some of the early Masters tracks on YT have lower quality than what’s in the game itself ‘cus well, people got better at that whole YouTube thing within 4 years).

So I kind of sought out the OGGs to see if I could do this myself (thanks to Gladio.ogg/TheBlizZar_ and later on members of the r/PokemonMasters Discord) and found that the source oggs actually contained a very important metadata:

Don’t worry, the version of Audacity I have is from before they were taken over and might act as spyware :V

The EXACT sample number where the loops start! So I started going through all of it, extending each track to have two loops (based on the loop point) and a fadeout afterwards with as best a quality I can have from these datamined ogg files. Of course I could’ve just left at that, and just stuck the game’s logo, or the splash art, as the album art and that would’ve done the job fine.

But noooooo I had to do MORE and so we end up with the earlier album art I made:

Before you ask there’s two Hoenn ones ‘cus I have a friend who prefers Wallace but I digress. It was fun to replicate Masters’ specific offset diagonal style for the squares, and getting them to have the triangle overlay Masters is so fond of too. The characters are mostly picked for a specific reason though!

  • At the time of creation of these covers, Red, Silver, Steven, Cynthia, Diantha, and Peirs where the first named characters in the Jukebox for their region.
  • N is Unova’s cover ‘cus I like N :), though he and Lillie are significant characters in their respective games (Lilllie even features on the PMEX wallpaper up there!) which is what drove their respective cover choices.
  • Nemona is well… the first Paldean character even if her song key is 09001! So there wasn’t really much other choice there!
  • And of course Lear has to be the trainer art for Pasio, this game is ALL LEAR’S FAULT.

Anyway, SO YEAH. This is my little personal “ahahaha sure” project ‘cus Pokémon Masters EX’s music is FANTASTIC, Shota Kageyama and Haruki Yamada (ATTIC INC) (Haruiki seems to have done a LOT of these arrangements too) did such a good job aaaaaaaaaa.

Here are some downloads though! The full collection, all ~1.2GB of it is here, with relevant credits and folder structure.

However if you’re some of the people who I’ve shared this with before and you grabbed the last update in March, I would highly suggest you just grab a fresh copy of the full archive as there’s disk number and art tweaks, but if you only want the updates it’s here. Changelog in the archive and below:
