Time for the yearly summer pic of DO! And I’ve not drawn Rigel in a while so wanted to throw him in the background too. For reasons 🙂

This took longer than I expected. I started it before the heatwave, and other than streaming I was kind of 100% on it almost all waking hours >_> I know the inking took me about 7 hours, and I got through about 3 albums worth of music finishing today so. Yeah. I wish I put an actual timer on this >_>

Well time blindness is an ADHD trait…

I apologise for the near radio silence for the past couple months. It’s, a bit shit honestly! I’ve been struggling to really sit down and actually do art for the past couple months. I don’t think I could give a concrete reason, like for a small period I absolutely was hiding in minecraft, but it doesn’t really explain, the rest. I’ve honestly struggled to keep up with a lot of stuff in general, lil daily things, etc.

My only assumption has been a reluctance to both accept I’ve had burnout but also for the past few months I’ve finally been titrating on ADHD meds and I think I finally hit a dosage that works well for me. Of course my current prescription ran out and I’ve been struggling again so who knows maybe they’re related.

Well whatever, no-one likes to listen to someone whine that they finished at the last moment and offered excuses. I’m busy tomorrow but I’ll try and actually get things properly archived etc. to you by Thursday evening (BST) and start working on a plan on getting my owed stuff done finally.

Thanks for sticking around, especially given the whole Event in late 2025, I know it’s not been, easy.

I’m sure most people who have a holiday don’t immediately make a warm up project that is A Lot but I did!

You’ll have likely seen the colour wheel meme going around on social media where people ask for characters to match the character on the wheel but I didn’t want that pressure so just did my own characters… And then I wanted to animate it in a little GIF form so you can easily see the upside down characters…

Before realising that’s 8 characters you have to draw DO you silly thing. Because I was aiming to go with the animation that did mean that I was therefore deliberately going to limit myself to make this easier to do… And THEN I decided to make them approximately the correct height relatively. I am a fool.

Pride (2022 ver)

I’d not done anything for pride in a few years, partly ‘cus I generally felt I was too behind on stuff and then June snuck up on me but this year I decided “Oh hey I best do it this year”.

Technically this was hinted in Subtle, it was indeed deliberately subtle. But before I get on to that, I still really love the idea of sticking stickers that wash off over time without damaging the magically animate and unpoppable inflatable toy etc. etc.

Hence the pride stickers. ANYWAY what was Subtle about?

Late Jan/early Feb I’d been ruminated on the hit topic we all know and love. Gender. Or, ironically, a lack of one. It’s something I’ve been thinking on for a while ‘cus boy howdy it sure is a strange coincidence that I keep making self-characters that are masc but also not really attached to being specifically male. Even the Obstagoon is SUPER masc but I don’t really consider them male.

Technically the correct term here probably would be “demiboy/guy/man” (as in, someone who feels male sometimes and other times not). But you know what gave me gender euphoria and what didn’t? Agender and demiboy respectively. So I followed the good chemicals and wow internal validation????????

“What does this mean for peeps though? New pronouns?” NOPE 😀

A lot of this is internal validation, they/he still works for me and I have no specific preference on which one. Boy howdy that’s convenient! 2025 DO EDIT: Lol, lmao even, I’m completely detached from gender, fully it/its, and find being called male or he/him uncomfortable now

But you know, it’s good to finally bite and be open about it in a less subtle way :B
