Simon, a red bat vampire, huddled under an umbrella its clumsily holding with its wings while glaring upwards towards the sun

When you wanna be bat but also have to be outside during the day for some unknowable reason (also that you shouldn’t be in the sun)

There’s no deep meaning behind this other than “DO hates summer” and “DO hates heatwaves” and “I was like this before I got funny θΔ feelings when I made my fursona a vampire, it’s just more valid to hate the sun now”

A red koopa (like Bowser) sits in a large chair sideways, one leg thrown over the arm rest. It has large wings and instead of horns there's a pair of large pallid ears, and its snout is slightly vampire bat like. In addition to this it has two very long fangs. It has a cape on with a large collar that is partly obscuring its head and is visible sticking out from its right side, while the rest of the cape drapes down over the side of the chair and along the floor. Its left arm rests on an armrest while it leans its cheek. In its right arm, a little outstretched, is a wine glass with a mysterious red liquid in, more than likely not wine.

So this was originally meant to be for Bowser Day but uh, I let scope run a bit too much

So now it’s an early Halloween pic ‘cus I can just say that because I’m the artist and I say so. We’ve had me as a (royal?) koopa before but that was a lot more hedgehog like, and also when the fangs were significantly shorter. So I wanted to do something a bit more batty and vampire-like oh noooooo

I really have a bad habit of letting scope creep happen in personal projects lol.

The grey version was an accident, I changed a folder property and liked how it looked honestly!

So given some changes that happened after I got bitten by a vampire just before new years and the fact that it caused Identity™ to happen to me, I broke that promise I made to myself at the end of 2023 to not do any references in 2024. OOPS. Granted this one didn’t take as long as DarkOverord’s reference, just two months between poking commissions and other things, though I’d have gotten it sooner if I didn’t go “mmm bat too :)”

So there we have it, it’s now Super Official that I’m a very sharp fangy creature! As if the fact that I hadn’t dropped this after almost four months didn’t make that incredibly obvious…
