Hi! I’m DarkOverord!

I’m an agender (it/its, they/them is okay too) furry artist who has been a typo since November 2004. Initially I joined deviantART to post Sonic the Hedgehog fanart, but somewhere along the way I couldn’t spell what my edgy 15-year-old self wanted as a username and here we are. I decided to stick with it as it was “too much of a hassle” to register again, which has been highly advantageous apparently I’m one of the few people daft enough to make that typo. Somewhere along the way I stumbled forum to forum to eventually wind up on Fur Affinity, and still did Sonic art ha! Eventually I finally drifted over to furry art fully and have been actively doing so since 2013.

These days I normally go around as a hedgehog, but between 2005 and 2016 I went around as a red dragon below:

That all said, over the years I’ve amassed a lot of various characters, be they Sonic OCs or other fluff/scale/squeakballs, so there’ll be plenty of that in the art section. There’s also some weird stuff there I guess!

Other than being a huge furry, I threw myself in to UK Higher Education to do a physics degree and I enjoy video games. They’re mostly single player though! Typically platformers like Sonic and Mario are where I’m at, though Pokémon has managed to stick around for a while. I also enjoy games like Stardew Valley, Fantasy Life and WoW I guess…

While in university, for two years, I ran the Manchester Furs mini-meets that ran once a month in the city. While an incredibly stressful activity (do you know how much furries will try to bring their own drinks in to a bar? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa) it was honestly rewarding to help enable the community to get together and socialise. It was also a way of giving back to the community as when I first started attending the meets in 2007, I don’t think if some furs didn’t actively try to drag me around, I wouldn’t have stuck around. It also ended up with me attending Confuzzled in 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2023!

Speaking of conventions, while I’m not so active in the Sonic community anymore, I attended Summer of Sonic in 2011 and 2016 as well as STC Con in 2014!
