Marcus is a orange-brown overweight (though he’d claim otherwise) tanuki standing at 5’11” with green eyes. He has dark fur on his ears, over his arms, his feetpaws, two dark bands on his tail starting from the end, and a mask like on his face that runs under his muzzle. Light fur runs under his eyes along his muzzle, in his ears, on his belly and his eyebrows. His tail is large and fluffy, even when untransformed, though he usually likes to keep it bigger than him (it’s a status symbol).

Specifically Marcus is a bake-danuki, the supernatural variant of the standard tanuki. As such he has the powers to transform his form and takes pride in doing so,
“unlike a fox‘s dirty trick”, and he would claim he does so perfectly. He also has the power the change the form of others, though such a power requires much more concentration and he would use a leaf as a focus for his magical power. Finally, he can also transform objects in the same manner.
Unfortunately, under his own power, these transformations are rarely permanent and the further away Marcus is the more likely the person or object is to revert it’s original form. An example would be changing leaves to money to purchase items would mean that after time they would turn back to leaves. However, as he is usually more friendly, preferring to see the reaction to his tricks over actually doing harm he will in some way make it back up for his tricks.
Personality wise, Marcus is mostly friendly and jolly, his mischievous streak rarely being malicious. He is usually calm under pressure and slow to anger, but when he is angry he will make it well known.
Character History
Marcus was inspired by Mamizou Futatsuiwa from the Touhou Project. Their theme was just so bouncy that I really just wanted to design a tanuki character. His name is a deliberate fusion of European and Japanese, as I wanted to show that he wasn’t native to Japan but was actually born in the west, as such he’d be a little bit out of his depth if he was in Japan.
Originally Marcus wasn’t intended to become a fursona but as I got older and a little more detached to DarkOverord, Marcus sang more to me. Gradually I’ve accepted I can have 20 fursonas and you can’t stop me. Sometimes I want to be Marcus levels of fluffy, sometimes I want to be quilly, sometimes I want to be grumpy derg, etc.

Like Simon, generally yes! Unless it’s something extreme or generally “weird”, and TF stuff is absolutely okay with Marcus, he is a shapeshifter afterall.
